Comments
as a resident of this area , we witnessed the whole incident , the mopeds riders in this area are careless and carefree , they ride upon the pavements with no thought for pedestrians and small children. they pull out of junctions without looking and generally perform silly acts on their mopeds. and this is how yesterday accident happened.
the speeds the mopeds go up and down redwell road & ramshill road are way out of control.
the driver of the bike had the other boy on the front of the bike facing him, and when they started speeding down redwell road and came face to face with an oncoming vehicle we could see it was going to end badly, the driver slammed on his brakes and the other boy went flying off the front and he rode straight over him on the bike.
moped driver should be at least 18 years old and have taken a full bike test, these boys are dangerous and should not be allowed to ride on the roads.
