Went there once for a quiet drink after a countryside walk. The place looks very elegant and quite formal, but has a friendly atmosphere and the staff make you feel very welcome. Drinks not the cheapest but if you are a fan of countryside inns, Church House Inn is worth giving a try!

ReportHaving fully adopted country village life, I am proud to say this is my local. Friendly service. One side of the pub even allows dogs, and the staff really do make a fuss and welcome dogs and owners alike.
Fantastic food at reasonable prices and plenty of selection in ales.

It's one of my favourite pubs. We booked in advance and took the dog. The staff made a fuss of us and her! The food was amazing, really good value for the price. It's just one of those lovely pubs where you can really relax. We couldn't managed a starter too as the portions were so big. There's a good range of ales on offer too.

ReportWent here for a meal recently and had a fantastic evening!
The food was superb - I had a steak with a sumptuous cheese and whisky sauce on top which was simply delicious. To finish my crème brulee desert was too die for!
After the meal we went through to the bar for a final drink and were pleasantly surprised to find a proper local pub in full Friday night swing! Real local characters with stories to share over a few choice ales. We really felt part of the atmosphere and after a while noticed bowls of tempting roast potatoes from the kitchen appearing on the bar but alas we were too full ;-)
