We used to go there every Sunday for the quiz and occasionally had a meal there. Spacious, family-friendly pub, with reasonably-priced meals. Good selection of drinks on offer. The staff and landlord always helpful, friendly and smiling. The only problem we found was parking — the place gets busy on weekend and there never seem to be enough parking spaces available.

very established eaterie, sell reasonably priced food with lots of specials and also carvery at certain times. good selection on menu. tastes good, best to to book as always busy. good range of different local ales too. children and also dogs are welcome, nice, comfortable atmosphere, with lots of parking.
Back in the day I always thought this place was called the pink panther palace (due to its lovely exterior paintwork) but once inside it was a bit of a dive to be honest :-(
Those days are long gone I'm happy to report and it had a complete refit a while ago (the pink exterior is now a subtler shade of white) to turn it in to a friendly family pub and restaurant.
Booking is highly recommended on weekends and holidays and me and the old man often go for a healthy portion of peppered steak with all the trimmings after a hard days golfing (the old man would also like to add that the gammon steak there is "superb").
The manager John is always up for a bit of banter too and if you go for a desert make sure to ask for lashings of custard ;-)
