Great location in Paignton town centre, this pub belongs to the Weatherspoons chain. We’ve been there many times — to eat out or just for a drink and it is one of our favourite places in Paignton — cheap beer, cheap food, family-friendly. Amazing selection of drinks on offer. Lots of special offers on food, such as Curry Club (curry and a drink for £4.99), Steak Club, Sunday Roast, etc. Gets quite busy on weekends, you may wait a while for a table.

Yes it''s a standard Weatherspoons but its still a decent pub. The food is good, not overcooked or undercooked - just perfect. I like the name too.

It all started with a £1.10 pint of Theakston
Although originally the pub just to get some cheap drinks from with no music, surprising this place holds many happy memories for me.
I think having no awful cheesy chart hits or dinosaur rock assaulting your ears leaves people having to rely on the old classic - the art of good conversation! (plus the beers stil are pretty cheap even today).
Despite it being a chain pub it's the people of Paignton who work and drink there that give it its soul!By thespinthief at 05:37 on 01/04/10
