this has had a lovely facelift and is so much more modern, lovely food and very reasonable. children are welcome. lovely comfy seats and can watch television if you want. its really good, friendly staff. carvery is great.

family friendly
Half Moon used to be a live music venue, with weekly, mostly alternative gigs. Nowadays it is a perfect, family-friendly eaterie, with many special offers, amazing carvery and international food buffet. The food is fresh, very tasty and the prices are very competitive, so if you are in Preston area, that’s one of the best places both for a quiet drink or a family meal. The pub is spacious and the new decor very elegant.

Excellent carvery
Enjoyed an appetising carvery here at a great price. Well cooked and big selection of vegetables to choose from. Watch the website for special offers......we had a voucher for a free dessert, though we were full after the carvery really! Friendly staff. Thanks.

good for a sunday lunch
I find the sunday lunch here excellent. Free parking is a bonus too. parking to the rear. The staff are friendly. What's nice on a Sunday is to take a paper and make use of those comfy seats. A good place to spend some time

Still good after the music has died down
Even though the live music has taken a back seat, the Half Moon Inn is still one of the best places in Paignton to enjoy a cold one. The live gigs that the Half Moon Inn used to do were undoubtedly its best asset, but even without these, this is still a family friendly place with a great beer garden and excellent food.
