Heather and Gorse Clog Dancers at a local folk festival

Local Morris dancers and musicians from Heather and Gorse Clog Dancers from Combeinteignhead will brighten up the evening scene for holidaymakers at Babbacombe this week.

They will give one of their regular public performances on Babbacombe Downs on Wednesday evening. The dancers plan a non-stop hour long entertainment of jigs and polkas to the tunes of their own band of accordians and drums. They are fresh from recent displays at folk festivals in Newton Abbot and Teignmouth and look forward to entertaining a crowd of local people and holiday makers at their favourite venue near the theatre.

The picture shows the Heather and Gorse dancers at a recent folk festival performance. They perform every Wednesday evening in Summer at local pubs and beauty spots and practise during the Winter months at Combeinteignhead Village Hall.
