Bella Vista

Great little Bed & Breakfast!

My partner and I recently stayed at the Bella Vista guesthouse in Paignton and were suitably impressed! We found the place online and after being impressed with the photos of the rooms (and the price!), plus coming up with a few Schwarzenegger inspired jokes (“Bella Vista, baby!”) helped us choose this hotel over the hundreds of others on offer in Paignton. The friendly hotel owner Jackie welcomed us on arrival and first things first was choosing our breakfast order for the next morning (which I was really looking forward to after reading other reviews online). Then we parked our car in the secure car park just in front of the hotel and checked out our room on the top floor… The room had been recently refurbished (the photos were true!) with nice curtains, bedding, lighting and an ample sized flatscreen TV on the wall. We had an ensuite room with shower and toilet (which was just big enough for the two of us), plus there was a good sized wardrobe to hang up my one shirt and my partners 20 or so dress choices for the evening. We both had a decent nights sleep – double glazing put pay to the noisy seagulls trying to wake us up – and then it was time for the full English brekkie. Jackie served up a great breakfast with all the trimmings (plus porridge and orange juice to start) and we washed it all down with a nice big pot of tea. We only stayed for one night but wished we’d stayed longer in the end and can definitely say in the words of Arnie… I’ll be back!
