Torbay residents and people who visit the Bay are being asked for their views on Torquay, Paignton and Brixham town centres.

The online survey is being run jointly by the council's Spatial Planning Team and Torbay Town Centres Company.

Comments received will be fed into the council's new Retail Study which is currently being produced, and into work on its future plans for the next 20 years for the Bay.

Torbay Town Centres Company (TTCC) will also use the findings to target investment in the town centres.

People taking part in the survey will be asked several questions, including how often they visit the town centres, how they get there, how much they spend, why they visit the centres, and how easy it is to find their way around.

They will also be asked what improvements they would like to see to the quality and range of facilities.

The survey is only available to fill out online until Wednesday 23 March. Go to www.torbay.gov.uk/ldf to have your say.

Cllr Louisa Aiton said: "As part of our long-term planning process, it is important that we find out from residents and visitors what they think of the Bay's town centres, and I hope people will take the opportunity to respond to this survey."

TTCC Chief Executive Lucy Ball said: "We are working with our partners to raise the standard of the town centres of Torbay.

"The competition from other centres is fierce and we need to know what attracts our residents and customers to those places so that we can start to develop town centres of choice here in Torbay.

"This survey will provide us with some very useful information to help shape our plans for the future."
