Street art or graffiti at the Lighthouse in Paignton?

Took some photos of the Lighthouse on Paignton seafront earlier this week as was really impressed with the wicked graffiti on the side of the building!

Was therefore pretty disappointed to read in today's Herald Express that this is apparently an issue with the council and local residents?
It's possible that the artwork will have to be removed and I think that will be a major mistake.
We're really lucky in this town to have young people interested in music and art and think the DMC (Devon Music Collective) are doing a great job in channeling this energy into what's now going on at the Lighthouse.
Let's get behind the youth of Paignton instead of knocking them down!

i think the lighthouse project is an amazing idea, giving the youth of the town somewhere to express themselves via a vast range of alternative music and art. The lighthouse gets my full support !!!!!!!

You can definitely tell the difference between art and vandalism.
People need to actually study art and understand it before they can comment on things like this.
