The results on the local elections and the race to become Mayor of Torbay have been delayed, due to a huge influx of postal votes that needed to be verified.

The results of the local elections and the next Mayor of Torbay have been delayed.
The verification process finished at about 4am this morning and Torbay Council decided to delay the Mayoral and local election counts until 11am today.
When questioned on this by local residents, Torbay Council said via Facebook: "It's because there are three votes to count - Mayoral, Council and Referendum.
"It's been a long day and with two elections and the referendum, the decision to delay the count is to ensure accuracy."
