Paignton Seashore Centre, Goodrington: What a bizarre attraction!

I know it’s free but still…
I inquisitively popped into attraction (or house next to Splashdown) on Saturday – having heard little or nothing about it. Suffice to say I can see why.
One room has about three tanks consisting of shrimps, a hermit crab and several other very small fish among under water plants. Apparently this is what lurks around the shores of the bay.
The second room has a video of local schoolchildren talking about Geoparks and that’s about it…
Then you step back into the reception area where aside from leaflets etc is a small sandpit for children. That’s your lot. Unsurprisingly during my three or four minutes inside no one else visited.
Is there any need for this attraction? Was it really worth the money? Surely a information stand somewhere talking about the Bay's marine life would do the job?
Comments
I wouldn't really call it an attraction. It's really just a place that gives information about what lies beneath Torbay's waters. The mainly children's activities are just a bonus.
