Why do they ring the damn churchbells? It is just a noise. There is NO PURPOSE to this practise.

I actually quite like it.

Bell ringing at St John's parish Church and others in Torbay is sacred not profane.
So grumpybug's wronging of the bellringing not only insults over 20 of Torbay's churches and faithfel followers of our religion but also reserves himself a peaceful pad down in Hades where the sun don't shine and the only bell that tolls is for him.
Every day on the hour on the quarter and every minute or so.. at random and at various volume.
Old Nick never heard of ASBOs.
Maybe grumpybug can negotiate.

Grumpybug - the church was there WAY before you moved in I would guess - why live near a church if you do not want to hear the bells? The original idea was to call folk to church - before all and sundry had watches !
