THE ICONYX are Torbay's hottest band with over 1,300 Facebook fans.

With a smarter, slicker look and sharp danceable beats, THE ICONYX are driving changes in the guitar-based indie scene and their fans are loving it (especially the girls!).

    QUICK BIO:
Singer/guitarist George Harris and bassist Matt Featherstone met while studying music practice at South Devon College and formed the band. They never took to the scruffy indie look, preferring instead to take pride in their appearance wearing sharp suits and carefully coiffured hair. in their music too they take pride in their musicianship with carefully crafted songs that are enjoyable to dance and sing-along to. They quickly became the most popular band in college, playing the graduation ball etc. Once they started playing the local pubs and clubs they quickly became the most popular band in Torbay too with over 1,100 fans to date.

What's The Iconyx music style? Well, they're NOT 80's-pilfering synth-hounds or south London wordsmith wonders, banjo-playing folk retrogrades, large-lunged red-haired mystiques, falsetto-voiced pompousness or air-headed auto-tuned bimbettes. Their style IS however a familar one in pop history. Plain english lyrics that speak for a generation through ultra-catchy tunes that will have you humming for weeks. Think Madness, The Housemartins, Blur, The Streets, Lily Allen, with a kind of Bombay Bicycle Club/Bloc Party/Foals sound, but playing to a generation born in the 1990's.

So, I hope you'll be interested seeing what all the fuss is about, and give THE ICONYX a whirl?

Bradley Lane rocks! I would recommend them if you're looking for good live music and covers from the 80's 90's and today, as well as a few of their own songs. Check them out on facebook: http://tinyurl.com/32djv4
