Oh I think anywhere is what you make it - there are some great points in Paignton, I would suggest you just ignore the negative and enjoy your stay !

ReportIt's definitely one of the best seaside destinations in the UK. Dartmoor's very close too, which is beautiful.

There is a weekly pass for the bus called a mega rider and costs about £16.50 a week which just covers Torbay. Anyway they do one. There is also a beautiful ride on an old opentop bus running for the summer by some enthusiasts a real treat and is £3 per person and concessions also for a 45 min round trip... I had fun on this..saw so much more than on the lower decks..
Did you do the steam train last time, I know this is all touristy things, but locals enjoy it as a treat too.. ..
The beaches are a joy to walk on too...soft sand at Broadsands and gently shelving to make a wonderful swimming beach.

Expensive to park, Expensive and grotty hotels, closed shops, speed bumps and cameras everywhere, A small lottery win needed to visit local attractions, every fourth person asking for spare change. If you have a boat don't launch anywhere in the bay as you will be charged and not able to launch from any beach here. Visit Exmouth for a better holiday experience. There also seems to be an abundance of dog **** to step in, you will also find it on some of our beaches. Oh and dont go out on Wed or Thur as the pavements are full of bins. Good luck
Other than what Alandys said... it's great. Have you been yet on holiday yet? What did you think?

yes been home 2 weeks now, we had a great time the b+b was lovely, very close to the harbour. did lots of sightseeing, visited lots of nice places (dartmouth being my favourite ) and the weather was nice ,only one day of rain so all was ok. hopefuly be back next year.
the journey a bit of a pain though, going a caravan had overturned on the motorway so 2hr delay! nearly 7hrs, but 5 coming home so that was ok, maybe train next time but its so expensive.
thanks for asking
regards holiday mollie
