Tired of not being able to park on the Seafront at Paignton? No good reason why this area should be closed to traffic for months every year. It does a disservice to Paigntonians and the holidaymakers alike, if you think about it.

Couldnt agree more. The Torquay end of the prom is always deserted,whatever the weather. Even I cant park there with my Blue badge......,and theres a big sign near the beach which says "Easy Parking for all!!"

This would *possibly* be a fair argument if Paignton was the hardest place in the world to park a car but with a multi story car park just 200 yards from the beach,Free parking for 4 hours along Preston beach and a car park behind The Inn On The Green as well as an assortment of other parking areas there isn't really a need to open up the beach road for parking is there ? Why not let holiday makers and locals alike enjoy having to not worry about children wandering off the green and into the road to access the beach and possibly ending up under the wheels of a Volvo estate
....and yes before you ask I am a car owner and regularly park around Paignton
