Where to put a Paignton market?

Several people on this site have suggested/championed the idea of a weekly market in Paignton.

I wondered which location(s) people would like to see such an event?

The square outside of Lidls would be a good place as not much seems to go on there at the moment.

Our beloved Council gave the lease for the square to Lidls, along with their building lease, as well as other buildings within the square. Apparently Lidl's will not allow any other use, than it being used purely as a square. However I agree with you that without a doubt that is the prime location. There are other locations such as the middle of Victoria Street, Hyde Road along the south west kerb, Close Torbay Road and utilise that or the car park opposite the Paignton Carbuncle (new library) after all this council seem to abuse the rights of car drivers and their parking, o why not

Did not realise that. Seems like a real waste.

How about in Palace Ave Park. Because then most people would have to walk through the town centre to get to it and hopefully use more of the local shops. It's a lovely setting too.
