Granny Green's Top Tips for Christmas - Was just down the Co-op on Winner Street and noticed some chocolate advent calendars on sale so bought a few for my grandchildren pretty quickly! Don't make the same mistake I did last year searching the width and breadth of Paignton trying to find one on 1st December - get them now before they run out! (the disappointed looks on their faces last year still haunts me!)

Now we're getting ever closer to the big day... Another top tip to avoid disappointing the kiddies is to make sure you have an array of spare batteries on hand to cope with all the lovely electronic presents that Santa may deliver.

Producing a few triple or double A batteries at the right moment normally puts pay to those dreaded Christmas Day tears!

To make some lovely, cheap Christmas tree decorations that will make your house smell scrumptious, try slicing and drying oranges in the oven, then hanging them up. It's a traditional, simple idea.
