The end of the Asbo: Good or bad for Paignton?

Home secretary Theresa May has indicated that anti-social behaviour orders may soon be a thing of the past.

Have Asbos worked?
Government figures show that more than half the Asbos issued in England and Wales were breached from 2000 to 2008.
Referring to Asbos the home secretary said it was “time to move beyond” and “stop tolerating” bad behaviour. She added that police should be able to use their "common sense" to deal with anti-social behaviour.
Labour, who devised the idea, said that they had made a “huge contribution” to cutting crime.
What do local people think? Have they worked in Torbay? Certainly more than a fair share have been issued in the area.
In one notable case in Torbay four young men were banned from wearing hooded tops as part of an Asbo!
Those opposing Asbos say that some teenagers see them more as badges of honour than punishment.
Does anyone have any experiences of Asbos working or failing in the Bay? Let us know.

Common sense should be used but then I've been saying that for years.

ReportI agree with comedian Frankie Boyle - they should be called Gaybos instead, then youngsters wouldn't be so proud of getting them!!
