From Monday, September 26, the council will commence a resurfacing programme, as part of this year's ongoing investment in infrastructure around the Bay.

The value of this investment is £1million and includes a Government grant of £363,000 for repairing potholes, due to the severe winter weather last year.

Works will be carried out on heavily used roads and also residential areas, to help improve the local environment.

Cllr Robert Excell said: "I am extremely pleased that we, with help from Central Government, are able to invest even more money on road maintenance, particular in the lead up to winter months."

"Residents affected by the works will be informed by letter and warning signs will be situated in the roads to be resurfaced.   However, work dates will depend on the weather and may be subject to change."

If anyone has any questions regarding the work, they can contact the council's Highways Department on 01803 207716 or alternatively email highways@torbay.gov.uk
