Police cordoned off a section of Torquay after an "unexplained device" was found in a garden in Falloway Close
The incident began following concerns from officers who attended an address in Falloway Close, Torquay.
They then set up a 100-metre cordon in the area of Falloway Close as a precaution following the discovery of an unexplained device in the garden of a property.
The cordon included Happaway Road and extended as far as, but not including Barton Road.
LATEST UPDATE
It's understood that investigations have been continuing in to the incident. Three people have been arrested. Residents have been allowed back into their homes.
