Brixham will want to get back to winning ways after two defeats when Cleve visit Astley Park tomorrow.

The South West One leaders have been turned over by Wadebridge Camels and Oldfield Old Boys on successive Saturdays, but remain top of the table by eight points.

Although Brixham coach Dan Parkes blames an injury crisis for the loss of form, he remains confident they can play their way out of trouble.

"Good players don't become bad ones overnight and we have enough good men in the side to get over this run," said Parkes. "I said after Christmas there would be setbacks in the New Year and all the sides at the top would lose a few."

With flanker Tom Clarke and lock Adam Thomas newly pencilled on to the injury list, Parkes has signed Kade Dillon from Plymouth Albion as forward cover.

Ben Lovell comes in at stand-off for player-coach Ian Morgan, who is away in the United States for two weeks.

Camborne, away to Berry Hill, went second thanks to a win over Avonmouth Old Boys last time out.

"We are a point ahead of Avonmouth and two ahead of Clevedon so the situation can easily change," said director of rugby Mike Symons, whose Cherry and Whites have won five in a row.

"Looking at the run-ins, Clevedon's is the easiest while we have Brixham to play in two weeks, then Wadebridge and Oldfield, who have both beaten Brixham."

Camborne welcome back No.8 Dave Roberts tomorrow, but will be without flank forward Sam Matavesi, who is being rested ahead of a trial with Racing Metro in Paris.

The trip to Clevedon holds no fears for Cullompton, according to director of rugby Andy Knowles. "I know Clevedon are unbeaten at home this season, but we have gone there before and won and there is no reason why we can't do it again," said Knowles.

Sidmouth's game away to Thornbury will go ahead as planned despite the death of coach Richard Sawcroft in a road accident this week.

"There will be a minute's silence before all our games this weekend, including the one at Thornbury," Sidmouth secretary Terry O'Brien said yesterday.

Wadebridge hope to have hooker Matt Ballard back after injury for the home game against Oldfield, if it goes ahead. "The pitch is rock solid and unless conditions soften I can't see us playing," said Wadebridge's Dave Elston.

Paignton, away to Penryn, hope to have top try scorer Jarryd Harris back from a shoulder injury.
