Beach huts damaged by graffiti in Paignton.
-
Beach huts stored in the Colin Road car park in Paignton have been damaged by graffiti.
Police in Torbay are investigating criminal damage to beach huts in Paignton which took place during the weekend.
Nine beach huts, which are being stored in the car park at Colin Road, were sprayed with large black lettered graffiti between 4pm, Friday, November 4 and 11am, Monday, November 7.
PC Simon Lee said "We are appealing for witnesses to the damage to these beach huts. Maintenance and repair to these huts can be costly and we will deal robustly with anyone found to be involved. Those carrying out graffiti usually have a specific word or logo that they spray, known as a 'tag'. On this occasion the words "KESH BROKE" appear to have been sprayed. Do you know who uses this tag?"
Anyone with any information should contact the police on the new non-emergency number 101 or call Crimestoppers, anonymously on 0800 555111.

Graffiti artists?? I wouldn't call that art in any sense - just mindless vandalism I'm afraid. I hope this isn't signs of things to come with the new Parkfield centre just next to this carpark...
